For this project, we were instructed to design a website that's aimed at promoting our favorite cuisine. The goal of this project was to create a concept of a restaurant and approach it with the idea that it'd be an actual place you see becoming real one day and to make the users want a taste of the food. My intention with this project was to make it look like authentic Italian food, I wanted to portray the website as a classy and more high-end restaurant. The Process
Concept statement: For this project, I’m choosing to do French or Italian Cuisine. My idea/goal with this project is to really focus on the quality of the cuisine, a lot of times Italian cuisine is homemade and I’d like to have that same concept. I want to show the authenticity of the cuisine and give a fancy feel to the menus through the use of typography/fonts, colors, and images. I’d also like to make sure the choice of meals is fitting to the look I’m going for. My goal is to make this “restaurant” have a fancy enough feel that individuals and their families or significant others feel that this is a place they can go to for special occasions that are meaningful to them.
