The challenge:
The current Ninos Matter website presented challenges in usability and accessibility. It lacked a user-centered, responsive design, and the overall typographical hierarchy hindered the readability. Insufficient information about the non-profit prevented trust and empathy, potentially impacting the overall engagement and donations. Furthermore, the existing brand colors and inadequate contrast cause the site to fail web accessibility standards, creating barriers for many users.
Mission:
Our mission for the Ninos Matter project was to transform the existing website into a more accessible, responsive, and user-friendly experience. We aimed to build more trust and transparency between the non-profit and its users by showcasing active involvement through current events and establishing a more secure, streamlined process for payments and child sponsorship sign-ups. Furthermore, we wanted to prevent visual barriers for users by adjusting the brands color palette to build more contrast.

About:
Niños Matter, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, dedicated to creating a legacy of lasting change. Their mission is to inspire and uplift children, unlock their potential, and pave pathways toward a brighter future. Through impactful projects and unwavering support, Ninos Matter equips children worldwide with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive and uplift their communities.
My role:
I led the redesign of the Ninos Matter website, aiming to enhance the overall user experience. During this project, I applied a user-centered design process that contains phases such as empathize, research, define, and ideate to establish trust and ensure accessibility. I developed wireframes and designed drafts while working alongside copywriters to ensure that all essential user information was incorporated. Once the overall design was finalized, I created interactive prototypes utilizing Auto Layout for handoff to our team of developers. This website is currently being developed and will be launching in the coming weeks.
