For this project, we worked with a client who's a kinesiology professor to create an AR/VR system specifically for students taking his course. This course studies the skeletal and muscular systems, and he was looking to have an interactive program built for students to study the bones and muscles. As a class, we collaborated with computer science students, our task being to design a user interface for a VR application.
Our goal was to create a design that is intuitive, easy to use, and enhances the VR experience for users. Due to the relatively unstructured nature of this project, we were required to employ agile methodologies in our design process. This included an emphasis on being able to quickly change directions with our designs based on stakeholder feedback, and information gathered through heuristic techniques or user testing.
At the end of this project, the stakeholder would choose one of our designs to base the interface on and I had the opportunity of getting mine chosen to move forward in this process which we later presented at the XR Southern Summit.
